So I’m sure you guessed I get most of my velvet from auction sites. I do actually collect them as well. I’m shooting for a representative collection, presently I have maybe 30+. Not many more to go.. though I do fall into the trap of collecting Eskimo velvet if I see it… for example.
Well photos on action sites are often shit. I WILL tweak and crop, but I have a few rules
- save the original picture (um… well its history)
- Do not scale more than 150%
- Darken pictures to make them presentable as the artist intended
- I will twist on radius to make the image more presentable as well
- I do sharpen from time to time if the picture is all focused off
I’m pretty good at doing this. with the help of LightShot and Paint.Net, the best screen capture and painting program for this sorta thing, I’m turning into a champ
